BACKYARD-GARDEN WEDDING IN CHEVY CHASE MD
DEVIN + CASSIA
This wedding. How do I begin? Cassia and Devin are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met and, wow, so are their friends. I’ve never seen or received so many hugs and cheek-kisses at one wedding… talk about feeling like family. (wipes tear)
Their ceremony was under a tent in their friend’s backyard. There were a few rows of chairs encircling Cassia and Devin and beyond them, other friends gathered together. It felt like the biggest group hug. Rather than having one officiant, the ceremony was led by a handful of their closest friends and family members who each spoke equally, creating an atmosphere that was unlike any other wedding I had previously attended. Truthfully, I think I’ll be copying them one day. ;)
After photographing some hilarious + cute photos on their decorated tandem bike, we ran back to the dance floor right as “Everytime We Touch” by Cascada began playing. It was the most perfect timing because right when the lyrics say, “Cause every time we touch, I feel the static,” C+D were making out in the middle of the dance floor as all their friends, encircling them again, screamed the lyrics.
How’s that for a good ending?!
